Running errands can be a bit tricky sometimes with an infant. Especially one that likes to eat every couple hours! Luckily, my mom has helped me out with some of the daily duties. I'm always greatful for the extra hand when I'm out shopping, especially to a place like Costco. But this particular trip could have been better thought out.
We arrived there each grabbing our own shopping cart. We knew the isles we needed to hit, making sure not to miss the taste test tables. Mom watched my cart while I had to do the imprompto breastfeeding. She waited in line next to me while Oliver had a melt-down. And then, we were out the door, feeling fully accomplished and successful. Wow, we both got something done.
And then we arrived to the car. Yep, my car that already had a trunk full of golf clubs (no I don't golf, but my husband thinks it's a storage unit for his things...note to potential car thief) and of course, the stroller. What were we thinking?! We had a huge carseat in the middle of the backseat, and two adults in front. This didn't leave enough room for our double stacked carts of Costco groceries. I did the only thing I thought to do.....call Nate.....and yell. (So the mood swings are supposed to be over after you have the baby, right?!)
Anyways, sensing my frustration, Nate came from work and bailed us out. One day soon I think my brain will begin to think ahead again. I'm sure Nate will be thankful when it does :)
