Oliver turns one.

This past week has been a bittersweet one for me. I was holding back tears Friday on Oliver's first birthday. The day was no different for him other than a house full of people, gobs of presents, and his first taste, I mean fistful, of chocolate cake. But it was a very different day for me because my baby is well, one. And it snuck up on me and nearly knocked the wind out of me.

Yes, I am fully aware that I may be one of those mom's who say when asked how old their child is "oh he's 34 months." It may be ridiculous but well, he will always be my little baby.

Oliver had his one year checkup so here are the stats:

19lbs 12oz, which put him up into the 10th percentile (which is a big jump for him).

29.25 inches, which puts him in the 33rd percentile.

I hope the next year doesn't go by this fast. Only 17 more years and he is off to college! Ahhhh!
