Celebrate

We recently celebrated my mom's 29th birthday (can you believe we are only a year apart in age?). It was fun to have the family all together for dinner. Oliver entertained us by climbing into a gift bag while my dad dragged him all over the house. We ate Chinese, and watched the Blazers lose in overtime, but all in all, it was a fun evening. (Aside from the part where my dad made my mom a birthday card and wrote her age a year older than she was actually turning on accident.....OOPS).

There isn't a day that goes by that makes me realize how fortunate I am to have a mommy like I do. I really have always idealized her, and wanted to be just like her. Even in the days when she wore bright-blue eyeshadow and poofy bangs, I wanted to look like her. I hope that my children will think of me in the same way I think of her....devoted, self-less, and always giving. Love you Woman!
