I've been planning for sometime to take the RNC exam and took the opportunity to do so with some nursing friends. The RNC title is a certificate of specialty in obstetrical nursing. We traveled to Las Vegas, took an intensive course, and then the RNC exam. Nate tagged along with me, and we left Oliver for the first time! We were hoping to make it somewhat of a vacation too, but I can't say it was much of that. It was for 4 days, and I missed my little guy, but was happy to be distracted with the nursing course that consumed most of my time.
I came home to a sick boy, though. He started running a fever that night our flight got in, and has continued on. This is going on four days of a pretty high fever. We made a trip to the emergency room the other night when his fever spiked to 103.2 while on Tylenol.
You can tell Oliver isn't feeling well because all he can do is lay on me. That's all he desires to do (except watch Elmo). Pretty out of character for a boy who is non-stop go-go-go. This is the part I am really enjoying though, cuddling all day.
